The committee’s goal was, and is, to create “user friendly” masonry details for the design and construction communities. It is recommended that prior to any use of the details, that the same be reviewed and approved by a design professional who is competent to evaluate the significance, limitations and proper applications for the details. The decision to utilize the details is not within the purview of the MIM, and persons making use of the details do so at their own risk. MIM makes no representation or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the accuracy or suitability of the details for any purpose. The details are not to be interpreted as indicating compliance with, or waiver of, any provision of any applicable building code, ordinance, standard or law.
