Known throughout the country as the most progressive masonry institute, the MIM continues to lead collaborative efforts in developing programs to further the use and understanding of masonry.

To accomplish this we provide up-to-date information, promote masonry construction advantages, provide technical masonry data and promote the highest standards through productive working relationships.

• Providing educational programs to help architects, engineers, GCs/CMs, developers, municipalities, school districts, and building officials to take the fullest advantage of the intrinsic value of masonry for savings, reduced schedules and sustainable, more energy efficient buildings.
• Acting as visiting professors and adding masonry design, engineering and materials to the curricula of Michigan Colleges.
• Delivering educational programs to enhance the certifications, skills and knowledge  for inspectors, educators, testing firms, mason contractors and suppliers.
• Providing open and collaborative forums for architects, structural engineers, GCs/CMs, mason conntractors and suppliers to discuss issues and industry concerns around the table.
